Use your network.

If you know other travel nurses, ask them for their recommendations on where to go and what to see. They may have some great insights that you didn’t consider.

Make the most of your time off.

Your time off is precious, so make sure you use it to explore your surroundings. If you have a few days in between assignments, take a road trip and see some sights you’ve always wanted to see.

Keep a journal.

As you travel to different places and meet new people, it can be helpful to keep a journal of your experiences. This can be a great way to look back on your travels and remember all the different places you’ve been.

Be flexible.

Things don’t always go as planned, so it’s important to be flexible when you’re a travel nurse. If something comes up that you didn’t anticipate, roll with the punches and make the most of it.

Have fun!

Remember that you’re doing this because you want to see the country and have an amazing experience. So don’t forget to have fun and enjoy yourself along the way.
