When you’re travelling alone for the first time, America is a great place to visit. It’s big enough to have plenty of space and things to do, but small enough that you can drive or take public transport between cities without too much hassle. I love travelling in America and so I thought I’d share with you my favourite places to go on solo trips! It’s a must-see when you travel alone
Solo Travel to the Best Places in USA: Miami
Miami is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. state of Florida. The Miami metropolitan area is home to more than six million people and the seventh-largest metropolitan area in the United States.
It’s a major center, and a leader in finance, commerce, culture, media, entertainment, sports, international trade and education.
Best Places to Travel Alone in the US: New York
New York is a great city to visit on a budget. The best time to visit New York is in spring or fall and the best way to get around New York is by walking and using public transport. There are plenty of hostels in Chinatown, which will save you money!
Best Solo Destination: Washington DC
Washington DC is the capital of the United States and a great place to visit for history buffs. It’s also a great city to visit if you’re looking for some fun things to do with friends and family.
In Washington DC, there are many museums and monuments that will fascinate anyone who visits. You can take tours of them all day long or just pick one or two to focus on during your trip! If you’re feeling really adventurous, you could even go skydiving from one of the monuments (though I would not recommend this).
Don’t forget about food! Washington DC has so many delicious restaurants offering cuisines from around the world as well as traditional American fare like burgers or pizza if you prefer something more familiar than foreign flavors on your plate. Solo Trip to Chicago
Chicago is the third-largest city in the United States and one of the best places to travel alone to. It’s also a major transportation hub, and is known as the “Windy City.” Chicago has a large economy and is home to many famous people.
Take a walk along Lake Michigan, see where Oprah Winfrey grew up, visit one of Chicago’s famous museums or get lost in one of its many parks. The possibilities are endless!
Travel Solo to Los Angeles
Los Angeles is one of the most exciting cities in the world, but it’s daunting to travel alone. It is among the top 10 travel destinations to go to as a solo female traveller. This section will help you make the most out of your time in LA and give you a guide to all the best things to do and see on your trip!
- What to do:
- Walk along Venice Beach. This is an iconic place for artists and performers, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities for street photography or simply enjoying people watching. There are plenty of cafes around here as well if you need some fuel before heading back out on foot (or maybe after)!
- Where to stay:
- Stay near Hollywood Boulevard if possible; there are lots of hotels nearby that are reasonably priced while still being fairly close by public transportation options such as bus stops or subway stations (which head into downtown Los Angeles). If money is no object then staying close by Universal Studios would be ideal because they offer complimentary theme park admission with hotel stays.* How To Get Around Los Angeles: Take advantage of Uber’s carpooling service! It costs less than regular ridesharing services like Lyftand might even save money over taking cabs.* What To Eat In Los Angeles: Check out restaurants offering happy hour specials during lunchtime hours; these tend toward cheaper prices compared with dinner entrees but can still include appetizers and drinks at reduced prices.* What To See In LA: Check out Griffith Park Observatory because it offers free admission on Fridays from 4pm-9pm.* Where To Eat In The Evening In LA? You’ll have tons of options—just head down Sunset Strip toward Downtown LACity Center where many restaurants await!
Solo Vacation in Seattle
Visit the Space Needle, Pike Place Market and the Seattle Aquarium. Go to the Fremont Troll and see the Pacific Science Center. If you have time, take a day trip to Mount Rainier National Park or Olympic National Park for some great hiking trails.
Travel tips for Solo Travel in the USA: Boston
The city is so easy to navigate, you might even forget you’re in a foreign country. If you love history and culture, Boston is the place for you. The Freedom Trail is a 1.5-mile path that takes visitors through 16 historic sites in downtown Boston. You can also visit Fenway Park and walk along the same streets as baseball legends Babe Ruth and Ted Williams. And if all your sightseeing gets too much for you, there are plenty of bars and restaurants where you can sit back with a drink or food and just relax. The city has some of the best universities in the world; Harvard University alone boasts an endowment worth $37 billion!
Visit the National Park in San Francisco
San Francisco is a great city to visit. It has many attractions, including Fisherman’s Wharf, Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island. San Francisco also has an excellent food scene, with restaurants offering everything from classic American cuisine to French-style pastries and sandwiches made with local ingredients.
San Francisco is a good place for solo travelers because there are plenty of things to do in this beautiful city that don’t require you having a partner or even making new friends. The historic architecture along Lombard Street makes it a popular tourist attraction as well as the Golden Gate Bridge which offers stunning views of both San Francisco Bay and Marin County on one side while atop its towers you can take pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge’s suspension cables themselves!
